City Bonuses

Apparantly the estimated levels of bonuses in the City of London this year is set to top £19billion!!!!!!
Think about it. In 2005-06 the entire budget for the NHS was £76.4billion and the NHS is the biggest employer in the Europe.
It's enough to make tea come out of your eyes.

I came over here to see if I could help with the cricket related crisis in the relationship with your spouse. I can only suggest that you give silent support, and let him concentrate on the TV or radio, whichever is the case. It does not do well to come between a man and his cricket viewing.
I hope this helps.
In the meantime, I am very pleased to find you over here. I shall read you regularly, and will commend you to my many fans, unless you can think of good reasons for my not doing so.

I'll bet a fair number of the people who get a share of those bonuses will be the ones who confidently state that extra money into the NHS is always 'wasted' on wages!

Ok, spleen vented and smile reaffixed!

vs thank you very much for the advice. Spouse now wandering around the house muttering 'it's just like bodyline' under his breath. Sees slightly calmer though.

Surely he is not old enough to remember bodyline? Tell him just to meditate on the Tom Graveney cover drive until the anxiety passes. (What do you think of my bedside manner?)

Hello. We've never met but you've been recommended. You're a bit too lucid for our little clique at the moment but I'm sure we can have you gibbering nonsense by the middle of September.

Since you're already citing people from Johnson City, Tenn, I'm already charmed since I live within two hours of there on the Virginia side. And since Vicus won't answer our medical questions anymore, perchance could you tell me what the equation is for calculating gravitational acceleration of a falling mass?

This may very well be the reason you're looking for to order Vicus to cease and desist further referrals.

...and bile come out of one's mouth. I come from a medical family, realdoc, and, anyway, always like to be on the side of the good guys.

Thanks to the Independent I have discovered that doctors are now second in the high earners league. I can only say in my defence that
a)Women docs earn a lot less than average and
b)The acquisitive pigs in Harley Street skew the figures.
