Another one of these...

Well I did another podcast and you can get it here.

I have also been trying to work out what Mac is dying from but as nearly every fatal illness I can think of has an 'A' and an 'E' in it I haven't made much progress.* I was slightly stunned when I saw it last night but it is much funnier on second viewing, highlights:
  • new shouty radiologist (Mr realdoc loved him)
  • New improved Karen and the office girls going native
  • you shat in my vodka?
  • you cannae, you didnae etc etc
  • drunk Mac and Guy
  • 'I meant inside her womb, not up her'
  • Hiding a body with cornflakes
  • that suit!!!!!!!!!!!!
  • The fact that Joanna and Statham made me cry at the end ...etc etc etc

The end of the funniest programme on telly by miles, I will miss it very much. Congratulations to everyone involved. I will buy you a drink if I ever meet any of you...

*UPDATE It must be Menke's Kinky Hair Syndrome. How could I be so blind, Green Wing has always been about the hair.

Lovely podcast. The best bit, I have to say, is your voice. Can you cut out the music and just read us your blog next time, please?

One thing you can say about you dave, you are quick!

What suit?

That's not always a compliment from a woman, is it?

I'd have to agree with the last thing you said on the podcast, though.

Realdoc, I've been rolling around on the floor ever since I found out you'd been doing podcasts.

But don't worry, I'm sure I'll get around to listening to them one day...

(Well, you are officially the sexiest voice on the Internet)

Better keep on your toes, lady - you'll have some *serious* competition once I get my Ukelecast up on the air...I won't even *begin* to tell you what I do to the uke, but George Formby, I *ain't*!!!

Oooo can't wait Ms Swipe.
mangonel: Mac's suit of course, you'd have been too busy looking at Mangan in a kilt.

Agreed. I love the girls going all feral and Lord of the Flies. And I find the undercurrents between Dr Statham and Boyce (?)- the love that dare not speak its name - most funny and touching.

Looking forward to listening to podcast number 2...

Loving the ELO.

Sorry to go on about it, but your lucky patients - your voice could soothe a sabre-toothed tiger with a toothache...

Loved the Green Wing special. Not sure originally about the balloons but by the end decided it was great especially when combined with Guy's comments about the state of Caroline's fandango.

Haven't had a chance to listen to podcast yet but will come back with my comments once I get the bloody kids to bed!

TME you need to consult first nations post about 'flange' as spins so eloquently put it, more names for a fandango than you could shake a stick at.

annie:voice a result of over indulgence I'm afraid, I'm one of those docs who doesn't practice what I preach.

Ah. The Terminator is now safely tucked up in bed listening to his Bob the Builder CD (another thank you to James Henry) so I have managed to listen to the Podcast in peace.

Brill. Delighted to hear Stiff Little Fingers, that song always reminds me of you and I think stands up really well. Also loved the ELO which although I slagged you off about for years I find I sing along heartily too everytime they come on. Loved the lyrics in the My Name is Cloot song and the backbeat of the Spanish number (seems familiar but can't put my finger on it.) I was surprised by how faithful the Arctic Monkeys' cover was but they can do very little wrong in my book. And as for Jarvis he should have been knighted for the Michael Jackson incident and is most definitely a national treasure. Not sure about the Atlantic number but your one could give Meg Ryan a run for her money. All in all v. good though I've never found your voice that sexy!

Incidentally I have read and thoroughly enjoyed First Nations dissertation on the joys of 'going down town'. Very funny although as a smoker with a penchant for pickled onions I now have yet one more thing to be neurotic about. And I'm sticking with Fandango. I like its celebratory qualities.

Oh well, I'm a big ELO fan (still, though not so much into their recent stuff), and I figure since Jeff Lynne took up with cool dudes like the Wilburys (even if some of them have croaked since then - They Still Cool - ) and started producing a bunch of the jiveist new acts out there, he's officially deemed to be non-naff now.

Beyond brilliant podcast Realdoc - really excellent. Do you get nervous speaking on podcasts? Sometimes I thought I could hear a quiver in your breath. At least you can't hear the fan cooling the laptop down really loudly like on mine which reminds me I must sort that out. And yes - Alternative Ulster - that took me back back back to the dark years of early secondary school and a great time for music. I'd forgotten about Major Harris - it's a corker. More more more. Excellent. I'm going now. Got commentosis. Bye.

. . . . . . . wha? . . . mfmwrm . . . . sorry, must have blacked out there. Yup, I'm almost sure Mac was, in fact, wearing some sort of suit.

Embarrased to say, just caught up with the podcasts. Didn't realise it was OK to 'cast music I might actually know. Lehrer still cracks me up. I'd venture a bijou remarkette about ELO as well, but pretty much everyone already has, so goodnight.

TOYAH WILCOX! Is it ok to say your voice reminded me of Toyah Wilcox? In a very lovely way?

A friend of mine that is a great supporter of my podcasts keeps reminding me that it is completely illegal to podcast re: copyright and permissions etc etc. God knows - I might look into it or just carry on until the FBI hunts me down.
